We offer a range of solutions designed to meet your needs—whether you're just getting started or scaling something bigger. Everything is tailored to help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
This Privacy Policy explains how Luin Fëa collects, uses, stores, discloses and protects your personal information when you visit www.luinfea.net, sign up for our free guides, join our mailing list, or purchase our courses and materials.
We are based in Australia and aim to handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we also aim to handle your information consistently with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR.
By using our website or providing us with your information, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
-
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact details — your name and email address (for example, when you sign up to receive a free guide or join our mailing list).
Birth details — your date of birth, and where you provide them, your time and place of birth. We collect these only when you choose to give them to us in order to receive an astrological reading, course, or personalised material, and we use them solely for that purpose.
Purchase and payment information — when you buy a course or product, our payment provider collects the information needed to process your payment. We do not store your full card details on our systems; payment is handled securely by [PAYMENT PROVIDER — e.g. Stripe / Squarespace Payments / PayPal].
Communications — the content of messages you send us (for example, emails or contact-form enquiries).
Website usage information — when you visit our site, certain information is collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, the pages you view, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and analytics tools (see section 6).
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, racial, religious or sexual-orientation data) and ask that you do not send it to us unless necessary.
-
We collect personal information:
directly from you, when you complete a form, sign up for a guide, join our list, make a purchase, or contact us;
automatically, through cookies and analytics when you use our website; and
from our service providers (for example, our website host or payment provider) in the course of delivering our services.
-
We use your personal information to:
deliver the free guides, resources and materials you request;
prepare and deliver any astrological readings, courses or personalised content you have asked for;
send you our newsletter and marketing communications, where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time — see section 7);
process and fulfil your purchases, and provide customer support;
operate, maintain, secure and improve our website; and
meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
Legal bases (for EU/UK visitors). Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for marketing and for collecting birth details); the performance of a contract (to deliver products you have purchased); our legitimate interests (to run and improve our business and secure our site); and legal obligation where applicable. You may withdraw consent at any time.
-
You are not obliged to provide your personal information. However, if you choose not to, we may be unable to deliver a guide, prepare a reading, complete a purchase, or respond to your enquiry.
-
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Some cookies are essential; others help us measure and improve our website.
We use [Squarespace] to host and operate our website, and [Google Analytics / Squarespace Analytics] to understand site usage. These providers may set their own cookies.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the website functions.
-
If you join our mailing list or sign up for a free guide, we may send you newsletters, teaching content, and information about our courses and offerings, in accordance with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out at any time, and we will stop sending marketing messages. We may still send you essential service messages (for example, confirming a purchase you have made).
We use Squarespace Email Campaigns to manage our list and send these messages.
-
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
Service providers who help us run our business — our website host, email platform, payment provider, and analytics provider — strictly so they can perform those services for us;
Professional advisers (such as accountants or lawyers) where reasonably necessary; and
Authorities or others where required or authorised by law.
We require our service providers to protect your information and to use it only for the purposes for which we engage them.
-
Some of our service providers are located outside Australia. This means your personal information may be stored or processed overseas, including in:
the United States of America — where providers such as Squarespace and Proton are located; and
ANY OTHER COUNTRIES our specific providers operate in
Where we disclose information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, and/or that they are bound by their own data-protection commitments. By providing your information, you acknowledge that overseas recipients may not be subject to the same privacy laws as those in Australia.
-
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include secure hosting, restricted access, and the use of reputable service providers.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and while we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Retention. We keep your personal information only for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain our relationship with you, and meet our legal obligations. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 12).
-
We have procedures to detect, assess and respond to data breaches. If a breach involving your personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
-
You have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you;
Correct information that is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete;
Request deletion of your personal information, where we are not required to retain it;
Withdraw consent to marketing or to our use of your birth details, at any time; and
Make a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your information (see section 13).
If the GDPR applies to you, you also have rights to data portability, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in section 16. We will respond within a reasonable time, and may need to verify your identity first. There is no fee to access or correct your information, though in some cases an administrative cost may apply for access requests.
-
If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first (section 16) so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within [e.g. 30 days].
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC):
